BasilInABox It is with sadness that I have to report that Basil, our Gray and White Tabby Cat, has gone missing. I don't choose favourites when it comes to our animals, however this particular cat has had a special place in my heart since the day we got him. He was found along with his sister abandoned on the side of the road. It took almost a month to get him to respond to human interaction, and since he has been a very lovable home bound cat. We generally give our cats 24 hours before assuming them missing, but after 4 days know that they will not be returning. This is the second cat we have lost this year and each time it is a saddening and painful time for both me and Michelle.

Work is becoming more and more pressured. I am currently trying to finish off some of my projects to allow time to study. I am travelling quite a bit at the moment, having gone to Port Shepstone on Friday, and a planned trip to Tugela Ferry and Newcastle to complete the computer rollout for the schools. I am also still completing the Interwoven project for Ethekwini Municipality and doing upgrades on the AMS system. I have completed an upgrade to out internal Timesheet system as well.

I am also rushing to complete the WearCheck and CRM systems which need to rollout soon. Overall a lot of exposure to development work, and not enough hours in the day. I am hoping to upgrade and re-launch the Diago.co.za website with a new interface as well as a new blog engine, having chosen Subtext as the next blogging platform for the site. I have also been tracking the Development Mailing List for the software and hope to provide some contributions shortly.

As far as my continued saga with Speed Services, previously post here, is concerned, the parcel and bag is still missing, 7 days later. I am extremely disappointed in the company and it's management, however it seems that I am fighting and uphill battle trying to resolve the issue. I have come to the realisation that South Africans has no place to turn to receive assistance when the service provided in this country is of a dismal level and Speed Services does indeed employ thieves.
