Daily Ramble
Winter has hit KZN full on. Currently the 3 heaters in our house is working overtime keeping the animals warm, and the wind is blowing everything away. We've even had random rain storms making a warm bed the best option when your at home. I tend to be an early riser but the cold keeps me in bed a lot longer these days. Thankfully my wireless network works so Michelle and I get to take the two notebooks and sit in the room when playing Rose.
On Thursday night we decided to go past the Beach Festival and were lucky enough to watch Wonderboom and Watershed in action. Both bands are brilliant and albeit a small crown gave brilliant performances. I haven't seen either bands in concert in 2 years so I really enjoyed the evening. Michelle was amazed by Wonderboom on stage. They did a hour long set of some of their major hits and the energy they showed was electrifying to say the least. To date they have released 7 albums and also have a big international presence. Sadly I do not own any of their albums but definitely need to add them to my collection. The weather also played along nicely with no strong winds to damper the concert. The crowd also went absolutely crazy when they gave an inspiring performance of their hit song "Charlie". They are truly a unique band that cross over the various music genre well and their on stage presence make them a worthwhile band to see live. I hope to see more concerts from them especially in Durban.
Watershed proved to be brilliant as always. They started about 15 minutes late but the hour long show was worth the wait. Performing a few of their latest hits they truly had the crown going for the full extent of the show. I have always loved their music and have seen them in concert a few times before, and as always can't get enough of how well they feed of the crowd. I was pleasantly surprised that they performed "Indigo Girl" which has a special place in Michelle's heart as it was her mom's favourite song. Overall it was a brilliant evening, the crowd well behaved and the music splendid as always. Perfect distraction to break away from work.
