HoneyB Design

Not to long ago, I redesigned Diago.co.za since I was not at all happy with the last design I had done. I am extremely happy with the new site, and at the time of looking for ideas and layouts found one that I knew would just be perfect for my wife’s site, HoneyB.co.za. However since then our lives has been a bit of a madhouse, with Zena having puppies, my parents coming for a unexpected visit, Michelle’s aunt visiting, the home network upgrade and my work deadlines coming on hard and fast.

I slept in this morning, and only dragged myself out of bed at around noon. For some unknown reason I decided to open up Photoshop and finish the layout design I did for HoneyB and complete it. Michelle does 3D graphics as a hobby, and her full gallery of images designed in Poser can be found at Renderosity. Since her site also runs on SubText, I knew what was to be done to get the new skin implemented. While working on the design Michelle also decided to create a new image for the home page. She has always insisted that she want her site done in Pink and using the brilliant Colour Scheme Designer I was able to come up with a good combination of shades to use in designing the site.

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to finish the skin and get her new site up. The process took most of 3 hours, and the actual design took around 2 hours. I am no graphics designer by any small measure, however I am happy with this particular layout, and since both the blogs are personal, we are not looking for the best web layouts in the world. So if you want to find out what my wife does to keep herself busy, head on over to her site and subscribe!
